Tim Spencer

Tim Spencer, co-founder of Sigma Systems, has over 20 years experience in telecommunications software design and development. As President and COO, he is responsible for leveraging the existing product and customer base while driving new growth strategies in the communications software market. In his previous role as Sigma’s Chief Technology Officer, Mr. Spencer helped turn the company’s early technology vision into reality and along the way transformed Sigma into the leading provider of OSS service management products and services. Prior to joining Sigma, Mr. Spencer held various senior positions with Bell Canada. He was Director of Software Engineering for advanced services at Bell Mobility, where he was responsible for the design and development of real-time OSS solutions such as message processing, service activation and fulfillment, inventory and network management. Mr. Spencer also led several international OSS consulting projects for Bell Canada International in Central and Latin America. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and software design from DeVry University. |
Brian Cappellani
Chief Technology Officer and Vice-President of Engineering |

As Chief Technology Officer, Brian Cappellani is responsible for the architectural and technology vision and deliverables for the company’s award-winning Service Management Platform and Solutions Suites. As a 12-year veteran in telecommunications, his extensive background in designing, architecting, and building large-scale operations and billing support systems continues to position the company well. Prior to joining Sigma, Mr. Cappellani worked for Accenture in numerous roles of increasing responsibility, including senior-level architecture, engineering and development management positions, held both internally and with Accenture’s telecommunications practice, focusing on the wireless and satellite industries. Mr. Cappellani is also an Advisory Director to the TM Forum’s Board of Directors. TM Forum is the world’s leading trade association that provides leadership and guidance, technical and business innovation, and education and training to improve the way telecoms, media and information services are created, delivered, assured and charged. Mr. Cappellani holds an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario. |
Jackie Berg
Vice President of Worldwide Sales |

Jackie Berg joined Sigma Systems in 2005 and has
since forged many of the strong customer relationships Sigma maintains
today. Ms. Berg is responsible for sales initiatives on a global basis
and building Sigma’s worldwide sales team and distribution channels.
She has more than 20 years of experience in the telecom industry,
having held various senior positions in marketing, professional
services, product management, channels & alliances, sales, and
sales management. Over the past 10 years she has worked at NewStep
Networks, and Nortel with a focus on delivering software and hardware
solutions for communications services providers. Ms. Berg holds a
Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Mechanical Engineering from Queens University. |
Preston Gilmer
Vice President of Product Marketing |

Preston Gilmer is a 20-year veteran of the telecommunications industry and has extensive experience at AT&T Bell Labs, Tellabs, CommTech Corporation and ADC.
He has held director and senior executive level positions in product management, strategic planning, partner and corporate business development and corporate marketing. Mr. Gilmer’s background includes 13 years in software management system products including EMS, NMS and OSS systems. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering technologies from DeVry Institute of Technology, a Masters in telecommunications from DePaul University (Chicago, USA) and an MBA in marketing from North Central College. |
Martin Kadey
Vice President of Finance and Administration |

As Vice President of Finance and Administration, Martin Kadey oversees all of Sigma’s inbound and outbound contract management, human resources, facilities management, IT and administration. In addition, he serves as the company’s Corporate Secretary. Prior to joining Sigma, Mr. Kadey spent two decades in the Canadian publishing industry, where he held numerous positions of increasing responsibility, most recently as Vice President of Finance for Gage Learning Corporation. He is a Certified General Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto. |
Peter Garand
Vice President of Professional Services |

As Vice President of Professional Services, Peter Garand oversees Sigma Systems' global customer operations, delivery and support processes. Mr. Garand began his career at AT&T, Nortel and Alcatel. More recently, Mr. Garand spent three years at Rogers Wireless as the operator’s vice president of Program Management, where he managed the entire project portfolio for Rogers Wireless. Over the last ten years, Mr. Garand has also held senior leadership roles at a number of consulting firms, most notably as a partner at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young and as a Principal at Accenture. Mr. Garand's exceptional experience provides him with a strong foundation in the telecom sector and a deep understanding of the OSS/BSS market. Mr. Garand holds a MBA from McGill University in Montreal, specializing in Management Information Systems and Marketing. He received a B. Sc. in Physiology, also from McGill. |
Pankaj Gogia
Vice President of Strategy |

As Vice President of Strategy, Mr. Gogia is
responsible for specific strategic initiatives within corporate
development, operations, strategy and forecasting. Over the past 14 years at Sigma, Pankaj has contributed to Sigma Systems in roles within Professional Services, Sales and Sales Operations. Most recently, Gogia served as director Sales Operations & Strategy, a position in which he worked closely with the Sigma Systems executive team on planning, budgeting, and corporate strategy, while also working on sales development process, pricing and sales forecasting. Gogia recently completed his Executive MBA at the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University and Schulich School of Business at York University.
